We have the pleasure of welcoming our local Schools to enter our TWO exciting competitions to the 2026 THEME: "THE FOUR SEASONS"
Creative challanges which can involve the whole school or individual classes celebrating design, innovation and community spirit!

2024 Results
Results are now available for the 2024 sections! A huge thank you to all that made The Cumberland Show 2024 the best yet!
Crop Competition
The Cumberland Agricultural Society's Crop Competition recognises the hard work, skill and dedication of our local farmers in producing the food we eat while caring for and maintaining our beautiful countryside.
The competition is open to farms and smallholdings of all sizes located within a 20-mile radius of Carlisle.
Entry Fee: £12 per Field
Closing Date For Entries: 05 July 2026 at 23:59
Judge: Helen Dent
Judging Dates: 08 and 09 July 2026
Judging will take place on-farm. Each farm will be allocated a 30-minute judging slot. To ensure the judging schedule can be completed efficiently, all fields entered must be within reasonable travelling distance of one another and capable of being judged within the allocated time.

Prize Money: 1st - £30; 2nd - £20; 3rd - £10; Champion: £100; Reserve: £75
