Cumberland Show 2024

Cumberland Agricultural Society Equine Event - 12th June 2021

The annual Cumberland Show in its usual format for 2021 was postponed earlier in the year and whilst Council were hopeful of organising a smaller full scale event due to current restrictions this is currently not practical. The Society is delighted however, to be able to hold The Cumberland Agricultural Society Equine Event at East Park, Brisco on Saturday 12th June. This will be a competitor only event.

Earlier in 2021, we sadly lost our equine secretary, Margaret Ogden to cancer – our competitors, judges, stewards, and the society have all have benefited from her expertise and we shall miss her greatly. We dedicate the 2021 show to her memory.

We will be holding the usual array of light horse classes and are delighted to be hosting some of the final 2021 qualifiers in the hunter classes for the prestigious Royal International Horse Show held at Hickstead. There will be classes for all including first year first ridden classes to give our youngest competitors the chance to take to the ring on their own, the coveted NPS silver medal classes for our breeders in the mountain and moorland section, and overall championships awarded to the ridden section, the working hunter section and the in hand section. Entries will be taken online this year and we hope to be able to have live results on show day to keep those who are unable to attend the show in touch with the classes.

Work goes on behind the scenes planning for the 2022 Show which is promising to be bigger and better than ever, in the meantime good luck to our competitors, we look forward to seeing you on 12th June 2021.
